Installation
made easy.
Measure
Proper measurement of your space is key to ensuring easy and accurate installation. Our panels are 2700mm x 600mm (roughly 23.6" x 106.3") - use this to calculate the number of panels needed. Don't worry about having extra width or height, your panels can be easily trimmed to fit any space - just don't be short! Once you have measurements and quantity needed, simply choose your colour and place your order.
Trim
height
Once your order arrives, use a power saw or hand saw to trim your panels to the required height. You can also trim your panels at an angle to achieve a slanted look for vaulted ceilings or other design requirements. Don't worry about having a rough edge, this will be hidden once installed. Remember, measure twice - cut once!
Install
first panel
Begin by installing your first panel. Each panel has a tongue side, and a groove side. Use the groove side of the panel as your starting point, leaving the tongue side exposed to line up your next panel. Each panel will interlock allowing for perfectly spaced slats. This is the key to an easy installation! Use a level to ensure your first panel is straight, and simply screw the panel to the wall using black drywall screws - we recommend 15 per panel.
Install
middle panels
Continue this process with each of the middle panels. Screws can be drilled straight into drywall, but be sure to not over-tighten. Panels can also be applied with glue, but it is not necessary. We do not recommend using glue if you plan to remove or reuse your panels elsewhere. For ceiling installations, we recommend consulting with a trained professional before installing.
Trim / Install
last panel
Before installing your last panel, measure the remaining width required and trim the panel vertically using a knife. The cut can be made flush to the last slat to provide a smooth edge. Once trimmed, install your last panel and stand back to admire your masterpiece!
Removal
Our panels are designed to be removed and reused. When the times comes, simply remove the screws and pull your panels down one-by-one. There will be no damage to your panels and they can be used time and time again!
Care & maintenance
Our panels are made from sustainable materials, which makes them easy to clean and maintain. The acoustic felt is made of recycled PET materials, while the core of the slats consists of MDF with a real wood veneer surface. Cleaning is easily done with a feather duster, vacuum, or standard cleaning cloth.
